CONFIRMED: Black Leopards sign AFCON keeper

Black Leopards have confirmed the signing of Guinea-Bissau goalkeeper, Jonas Asvendo Mendes, who did duty for his country at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

“Black Leopards FC welcome Jonas Asvendo Mendes. He comes with a lot of experience from Portugal and Guinea Bissau,” read a club statement, as quoted by Kickoff.com

“The board and management trust that his arrival at Black Leopards will strengthen the defence of the team.”

The Limpopo-based outfit are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the 2019/20 season, and have already added the likes of former Orlando Pirates player Thabo Matlaba to their ranks.
