It is midweek and it already feels like it should be the end of the week if you are part of the greater society who have been paying their e-tolls, we have what seems to be bad news for you below but as all good samaritans should always do we also have some good news, Africa seems to be winning with two talented young men making headlines. DJ Shimza has been recognised by American music authority, Billboard as an emerging star in Africa and is Kaizer Chief’s player Khama Billiat moving to greener pastures soon. Motorists paying their e-toll bills might not get their money back if system is scraped

It seems like motorists who have been faithfully paying their e-toll bills will probably no get their money back if the system is scrapped. 

Asked if those who have paid their bills would be reimbursed, OUTA CEO Wayne Duvenage said, “absolutely not, we don’t think so.

“We don’t see how they will force [the] government or Sanral to get their funds back.”

The issue of e-tolls made headlines last week after a Twitter war between Finance Minister Tito Mbowenin and Gauteng Premier David Makhura.

Chiefs star Billiat a wanted man in North Africa

Kaizer Chiefs striker Khama Billiat has reportedly been earmarked as a potential replacement for Zakaria Hadraf by Moroccan club Raja Club Athletic.

The Zimbabwean marksman was in sublime form for the Warriors at the Africa Cup of Nations and caught the eye of a lot of clubs following his fine performance against hosts Egypt and Uganda, where he scored a goal and was named the man-of-the-match.

According to Moroccan football website, Maghribfoot, Raja’s Technical director, Fathi Jamal, has seemingly grown fond of Billiat, and is said to have approached his agent, Michael Ngobeni, about a possible switch.

DJ Shimza: ‘I made it on @Billboard…’

DJ Shimza, known best for hosting the best annual events, One Man Show in Tembisa and also one in Soweto has been recognized for his talent and great work.

Hot off the back of the Soweto edition of his One Man Show series, Shimza has shared even more news worth celebrating after being recognized by American music authority, Billboard.

The DJ was mentioned in the magazine’s list of emerging Dance artists from around the world and he couldn’t hide his excitement as he took to social media to let us all know about his latest achievement. Billboard absolutely poured the compliments all over the man from Tembisa when they wrote:

ANC suspends over 57 JMPD officials

In the City of Johannesburg, the African National Congress has suspended over 57 Johannesburg Metropolitan Police officials for allegations of misconduct.

Despite the conclusion of the investigation, it is reported that the suspended officers will fully be compensated, said the governing party.

The ANC believes this is costing the City over R1.2 million per month. The party says most of the suspensions are beyond three months and in contravention of the city’s Disciplinary Code.

Mboweni should stop behaving like he is SA’s Prime Minister

Finance Minister Tito Mboweni has certainly made himself President of South Africa on Twitter, ordering Gauteng motorists and also his government colleagues around over the e-tolls saga.

Mboweni’s persistent attack on Gauteng motorists to ‘pay e-tolls’ has exposed not only his arrogance but also his lack of compassion to the poor and middle-class residents of Gauteng.

Most importantly, his Twitter spat with Gauteng Premier David Makhura also exposed cracks within the ruling party, proving once again the ‘unity’ card has reached its sell-by date.
