Debutants Madagascar will look to continue with their dream tournament when they tackle DR Congo in the last 16 at the Alexandria Stadium on Sunday.

Nicolas Dupuis’ charges have however been dealt with a huge blow ahead of this encounter with news that Marco Ilaimaharitra will miss the match because of suspension. Ilaimaharitra scored the only goal of the match in their 1-0 win over Burundi and was key in his side stunning three-time former champions Nigeria.

Florence Ibenge’s charges however came out alive in their 4-0 romp against Zimbabwe to seal passage to the last 16 as one of the best third-placed teams.
The two sides have clashed twice before with the DRC winning both ties, with the scores ending 6-1 and 2-1 respectively.
