Javier Agguire, head coach of Egypt, has reserved huge praise for Bafana Bafana ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between the two sides on Saturday night.
The Pharaohs take on South Africa in what is expected to be a titanic clash between the two former champions.
Egypt finished top of Group A without losing a match or conceding a goal, while South Africa finished as the fourth third-best place side to progress to the last 16.
Aguirre spoke of a highly organized Bafana team, and that they are looking to go all out for the crucial win when they take to the pitch against South Africa.
“I don’t think it will be an easy game against an organised team like South Africa,” Aguirre said at a press conference ahead of the game, according to Caf’s official Twitter account.
“I’m happy with the team till now, apart from the injuries to Ahmed Hassan and Mahmoud Genesh.
“I’m hoping for a positive result, ” he said.
The hosts have not suffered defeat in 24 home matches since January 2016, and already have the pedigree of winning the trophy on home soil, having done it three times already.
