Chelsea have accepted R2 billion transfer deal for Belgium star Eden Hazard, according to reports.
The Blues star has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He is expected to be a key figure in the Spanish capital and form a key part of Zinedine Zidane’s overhaul this summer.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez told Daily Mail that they are working on a project to make fans dream again.
“I have a dream that Hazard will arrive this year. Let’s make a good team this year. I am very interested in him coming to Real Madrid and I am very hopeful that he will come this year. He’s one of the great footballers,” said Perez.
“Last year we wanted him, but this year he only has one year left on his contract and it is easier,” he added.
Chelsea will formally receive R1.8bn (£100m) and a futher R270m (£15m) in add-ons for the Belgium star, according to Daily Mail.
Hazard now is preparing to play UEFA Europa final tonight against Arsenal at 21h00 in Baku.
