The divisions within the ANC seem to be intensifying, the ANC looks to be divided into two, Magashule’s group which consists of the people that were close to Zuma and a small group of people who are behind Ramaphosa.
Secretary General Ace Magashule has once again proven that he is not for President Ramaphosa. Magashule spoke at the annual Walter Sisulu memorial lecture in Bloemfontein on Saturday. Where he told the people not to sing praises about leaders who are still alive?
“Never sing songs about leaders who are still alive because they are going to think they are important. They are promoted by the media. They think they are more important than the ANC itself, said Magashule.
This could be in reference to when Magashule scoffed fun at Fikile Mbalula’s suggestion that Cyril Ramaphosa had renewed hope in the party during the general elections.
Earlier this month Magashule said “The ANC would be where it is today. People have voted the ANC. People are not voting any person”, this was after Mbalula said the ANC wouldn’t have won the elections if it was not for Ramaphosa.
Political analyst Ralph Mathekga once said: “Ace has been very clear. He has been on the offensive when it comes to Zuma; his survival is still linked to Zuma because he may be implicated with him.
Magashule’s remarks are a clear resistance against the ANC leadership. He is a repeat offender and his actions are an outright opposition to the leadership of the ANC and to those who respect and accept Ramaphosa’s leadership.
I think people like Ace are ashamed of corruption was happened in ANC. Kuba bacingela bona bodwa abanandaba nabantu abasephantsi nabahluphekayo.
