Bobby Motaung is the Kaizer Chiefs football manager. He is Kaizer Motaung’s son.
Motaung has taken a diplomatic stance over the possibility of an early axing for Hendrick Ekstein.
Pule’s situation has dominated the headlines for several weeks, with contract negotiation understood to have hit a brick wall after Chiefs’ two-year contract renewal offer fell some way below his expectations.
The 28-year-old has also been left out of the side in four of their last seven matches, with coach Ernst Middendorp having alluded to his off-the-field situation as the main cause therefore.
Recent reports have since suggested that Chiefs could take swift action over the attacking midfielder’s instability by sending him packing before the season’s end.
Asked whether this could be a possibility, Motaung refused to divulge any information regarding the rumours on the player’s future prior to releasing official club statements.
“The club will make proper pronouncements on these things. I don’t like gossips, you know, I like to talk officially when I talk,” Motaung tells.
Asked for word on the negotiation processes, ‘Bobsteak’ insisted that official communication will follow in due course.
“I don’t want to discuss anything about players at the moment. We’ll make an announcement soon about what our intentions are and what is happening.”
