Reports in the Spanish press sensationally claimed the Egyptian wants out despite the Reds’ record-breaking season. The news is likely to surprise Liverpool fans who have taken the 26-year-old to their hearts since he signed in the Summer of 2017.

Salah’s agent hit back at initial reports from Spanish outlet AS in hilarious fashion claiming they were: “Mo Salah no longer really gets on with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.”

If true, the claims should worry Reds’ fans but judging by their reaction on Twitter, they did not seem too concerned. One posted: “Stop chatting nonsense” while another confidently proclaimed: “Salah will stay a Liverpool player, like it or not.”

Despite the casual reaction online, it should be remembered that both Barcelona and Real Madrid are famous for manipulating the press in order to destabilise big money players they are targeting.

Salah was also involved in an angry exchange with James Milner during Liverpool’s 2-0 victory at Cardiff when the Egyptian tried to rip the ball from Milner’s grasp so he could take the winning penalty instead. However, recent drama aside, Liverpool sit top of the Premier League with three games remaining but second-place Man City are just two points behind with a game in hand. Salah has notched 23 goals and 12 assists from 47 Reds appearances this season which is way off his scintillating form of the last campaign.
