Will Gerard Pique play to win against Tottenham Hotspur?

Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique has said the Blaugrana will “play to win” against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday at the Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants have already secured top spot in Group B, so Tuesday’s result will matter little to them, but it will play a big role in deciding who advances with them to the last 16.

“Of course we’ll play to win, like we always do. Our history shows this, plus we don’t want to interrupt our good run of results. In particular, we want to win and keep another clean sheet. As for Inter and Tottenham, I hope the best team qualify. Of course, we’ll play our game trying to win it.”

The former Spain international directly denied widespread media reports last month over the purchase of La Liga 123 club Reus, based in Catalonia as it is illegal for a current contracted player to purchase a football club.

But according to Diari d’Andorra, through his company Kosmos, the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner will take over the full control of FC Andorra.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is finalising the purchase of FC Andorra, who play in the Spanish regional leagues, according to reports.

Diari d’Andorra report that the central defender, through his company Kosmos, will take advantage of a new sporting law to take a controlling role in the club.

Last month, the former Spain international denied reports that he was going to purchase La Liga 123 club Reus, based in Catalonia, following media speculation.
